    About This Art

At late afternoon, the autumn still life turns from nice idea to main character. The orange catches the lamplight first, then the dusty purple and blue-green come forward and the dark background settles the whole room down.

Rooms with cream walls or warm woods get a real lift — suddenly the space feels seasonal without a single pumpkin on the sideboard. It reads as one confident piece of colour from across the room, then rewards a closer look with all the brushwork detail.

Hang it above a sideboard, a dining buffet, or a reading chair. Eye-level works, but it can sit a touch higher above low furniture without losing its weight.

Pair with oak or walnut, warm linen, stoneware in earth tones, and brass fittings. A deep green or rust velvet cushion nearby will pick up the palette beautifully.

Avoid hanging it next to anything cool and clinical — chrome, glass shelving, or icy whites will fight the warmth. The canvas weave softens the brushstrokes and gives the colour a painted, gallery feel.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Does the dark background make the print feel heavy in a small room?

Less than you'd think. The dark ground actually gives the orange and blue-green more room to breathe, so the piece reads as one warm block of colour rather than a busy crowd. In a small dining room or hallway it tends to make the wall feel deeper, especially with a lamp on.

Is this only suitable for autumn, or does it work year-round?

It works year-round in rooms that already lean warm — cream walls, oak floors, deep greens or rust accents. The palette is seasonal but the painterly treatment keeps it from feeling like a Halloween decoration. In a cooler, minimalist room it will feel more strictly autumnal.

Will the orange pumpkins clash with a deep green or red wall?

On deep green it sings — the painting already contains green leaves, so a panelled green wall feels intentional. On a deep red or burgundy wall the orange will still work but the dusty purple gourd softens any clash. Avoid bright pink or icy blue walls.
