    About This Art

Give it the chest of drawers. A pine or waxed oak chest in a bedroom has a wide, low top and a wall above it that usually gets nothing, and one upright leaf fills that gap without crowding the lamp. Hang it so the bottom edge sits a hand's width above the drawers. The rust picks up the warmth in the wood, and the beige ground stops the corner looking heavy. Keep the top of the chest sparse. One ceramic bowl, maybe a candle. Cream or oat walls behind it, linen bedding in the same tones alongside, and the whole room reads warm in October and in May. It also works above a hall bench, though the bedroom gives it quieter company. On canvas the brush texture shows without glass in the way, which suits a bedroom lit by one lamp.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will it look out of place once autumn is over?

No. The leaf reads as a warm neutral rather than a seasonal decoration, because the beige ground and rust tones match the pine, linen and terracotta already in most warm rooms. Take the pumpkins down in December and leave this up. In spring it sits alongside fresh greenery without arguing, and in summer it gives a pale room a bit of weight.

What size should I hang above a chest of drawers?

Aim for the artwork to cover roughly half to two thirds of the chest's width. For a standard 80 to 100cm chest that means around 50 by 70cm, hung with the bottom edge a hand's width above the top. Smaller than 40cm tall and the leaf shrinks into a detail, larger than 70cm and it starts to lean over the furniture rather than sit above it.

Does it work in a north-facing room with little sun?

Yes, and arguably better than most pieces. Cool north light flattens blues and greys but the rust and amber hold their warmth, so the leaf becomes the warmest thing in the room. Paint the wall oat or warm white rather than brilliant white, add a lamp with a warm bulb nearby, and the corner stops feeling cold even on a grey afternoon.
