    About This Art

Most children's rooms are sweet. Few are funny. A wall of ghosts changes that in one go, and the joke lands with grown-ups too, which is why it earns a place in a hallway as easily as above a bunk bed. The black ground is the surprise. Against a chalky white wall it reads as a deliberate dark square, and the cream figures glow out of it under a bedside lamp long after the main light goes off. Painted white furniture and plain linen bedding keep the mood light. Hang it at a child's eye height rather than yours. Come October it does Halloween without a single pumpkin, and in March nobody thinks to take it down. On canvas the black runs to the edge with no glazing, so the dark reads as paint rather than picture.

    Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

    Made responsibly
FSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the black background make a child's room feel dark?

Not on a pale wall. The black sits inside its own edges and the cream figures carry most of the light, so it reads as one dark square rather than a dark room. Keep the wall around it white or off-white, add a warm lamp nearby, and the room stays bright with a single strong focal point.

Does it only work at Halloween?

It leans towards Halloween in October and towards folk art the rest of the year. Nobody carved a pumpkin here, and there is no orange to date it. In a child's room it reads as a funny crowd of friends, and in a hallway it reads as a graphic black and cream piece with a smile in it.

What size works above a single bed?

Above a single bed, aim for 50 to 60cm square, centred on the headboard with a gap of a hand and a half above it. Smaller than that and the faces shrink to dots from the doorway. In a hallway or above a console, 60 to 70cm lets the crowd fill the wall without crowding it.
