Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
   
   
2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
   
   
3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

It can feel a little out of place against very cool greys and bright whites. The plate's cream background carries real warmth, so it sits best with off-whites, soft warm neutrals, oak or walnut timber and linen. If your walls are cool, hang it near a warm timber piece or lamp to bridge the temperature.

No — the red is a small, soft accent against a mostly cream, brown and grey image. From a normal viewing distance it reads as a quiet detail rather than a colour statement, which is why it sits comfortably in calm studies, bedrooms and hallways.

It works happily on its own as a single anchor above a desk or console. If you'd like company, pair it with one or two quieter vintage botanicals, an antique map or another natural history plate in similar cream and brown tones rather than a busy bird-only wall.
