    About This Art

    Three things it does fast: ground deep navy, sharpen brass, wake the hallway. The deep blue ground does the heavy lifting — it pulls in dark woodwork, picks up navy upholstery, and makes off-white walls look intentional rather than bare.

    What changes when it goes up: rooms with a lot of cream and oak suddenly have a centre of gravity. The cream peonies stay readable from across the room, and the curling leaves give the eye something to follow.

    Where to hang it: above a console in a hallway, behind a writing desk, or on a quiet wall in a traditional living room. It also holds its own above a bed if the bedding is plain.

    What to pair with it: oak, linen, brass, a bit of velvet, stoneware in cream tones. Anything with a slightly heritage feel.

    Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

    Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

    When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

    Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

    Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

    You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

    How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

    Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

    Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

    What's your return policy?

    Does the deep navy feel heavy in a smaller room?

    Not in our experience. The cream peonies and pale border keep the piece from closing a room in. In small hallways or studies, the navy actually reads as a feature wall in miniature — it draws the eye to one spot rather than spreading darkness across the room.

    Is the pattern symmetrical, or does the eye pull to one side?

    The composition leans slightly upper-right, where the largest peony sits. That makes it a good choice above a console or desk where you want the eye drawn up and across rather than centred dead-still. Hang it just left of dead-centre if the wall is wide.

    Will this clash with patterned wallpaper?

    Yes, usually. This piece is busy enough to be the pattern in the room. If your wall already has a Morris-style or strong floral wallpaper, choose a plainer artwork instead — or move this one to a quieter wall where it can do its own work.
