    About This Art

From the doorway, the standing dog reads clean. Up close, not polite. It is a tangle of black pen lines that only becomes a border terrier when you step back. That trick does something useful to a room: it gives a quiet wall a jolt of movement without adding a single colour to manage. Hang it in a hallway you walk past twenty times a day, above a desk, or on the wall beside a sofa rather than dead centre above it. Keep the company simple — black metal, pale wood, white or off-white walls, plain linen and wool. Avoid crowding it with heavy patterned wallpaper or a busy shelf display; the drawing needs empty wall around it to work. On fine-art paper the thinnest lines stay sharp and the white ground stays clean.

    Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Does the dog still read as a border terrier from across the room?

Yes. The scribble is dense enough at the head, chest and legs that the outline holds from a few metres away, and the upward tilt of the muzzle gives it a clear terrier profile. Step closer and it breaks into loose pen loops. Going for a larger size protects that from-the-doorway clarity in bigger rooms.

Will the white background look grey against a white wall?

It reads as a clean bright white next to most painted walls, and the pen lines give it enough contrast that the edge of the sheet never feels muddy. On a warm off-white or chalky wall the difference is barely noticeable. A black frame settles the question by giving the white a firm border.

Is it too busy for a small room?

No. The lines are dense but they sit in a small part of a mostly empty page, so the piece still feels open. In a snug hallway or small study it adds energy without adding visual clutter. Just leave clear wall around it rather than crowding it with shelves or hooks.
