    About This Art

Watch the boxer land, then the black start doing damage. On a plain wall it reads as one confident scribble, and the room instantly feels less careful and more lived-in. Hang it at eye level in a hallway, above a low sideboard, or on a study wall behind a desk where the linework gets looked at properly. Keep the company simple: pale oak or walnut, black metal, off-white or soft grey walls, a wool rug, plain ceramics. Don't crowd it with patterned wallpaper or other busy black-and-white graphics, because the loose lines need clear space either side to stay readable. On premium fine-art paper the fine line ends and pencil-thin strokes stay crisp.

    Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Does the boxer still read clearly, or does it just look like a tangle of lines?

From about a metre back the lines resolve quickly: the head, folded muzzle, chest and standing stance all come through. Up close you see the loose overlapping strokes instead. That shift is the appeal, so hang it where people pass within a metre or two rather than at the far end of a big room.

Will it work in a portrait format above a sideboard?

Yes, as long as the sideboard is fairly narrow. Portrait pieces suit a tall stretch of wall, so leave clear space either side and hang so the centre of the image sits at eye level. Above a wide sideboard, pair it with one smaller line drawing to balance the run.

Is it too stark for a room with lots of warm wood?

Not at all. Black on white acts like punctuation next to oak or walnut, and the loose hand-drawn lines keep it from feeling cold or clinical. It holds up best against plain off-white or soft grey walls, where the empty space around the dog reads as part of the drawing.
