    Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

    You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

    How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

    Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

    Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

    Will the greens read as too dark on a north-facing wall?

    The greens are deep but broken up with cream walls of the cottage, terracotta roof and yellow flowers, so the picture keeps light in it even on a cooler wall. On a north-facing wall it reads quiet and a bit moody rather than heavy. A warm lamp nearby brings the cream and red tones forward in the evening.

    Is the brushwork loose or fairly detailed up close?

    It is loose and painterly. The cottage walls and roof are blocked in with clear strokes, and the foliage is made up of short dabs of green, blue-green and yellow. From a normal viewing distance it reads as a calm garden scene; up close you can see how the marks are built, which is part of the charm of an early Cézanne.

    Does it work in a small room or only on a big wall?

    It works in both. At a medium size it sits well above a console, sideboard or small sofa in a living room or hallway. At a larger size it can anchor a bedroom wall or feature wall on its own. The portrait shape suits narrower walls between a window and a door.
