    About This Art

Somewhere between Matisse and folk painting, this tuxedo cat refuses to behave. Two glasses of red wine, a field of pink and mustard, and a stare that says the second glass was always the plan.

A kitchen or dining room gets a personality lift the moment this goes up. The soft pink, the deep red and the mustard pull warmth into the room without leaning twee.

Best above a sideboard, a drinks trolley, a console, or a small kitchen wall where the cat can hold court. Eye-level works; slightly low works too.

Pair with painted cabinetry, oak or walnut, brass handles, stoneware, linen, and warm cream walls. Looks great with a few houseplants nearby.

Don't drown it in pattern — let the cat be the joke in the room.

We're serious about canvas art, ask away

From sizing to framing and print quality, Fab's art experts break it all down—so you can find the right art for your space.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the deep red band at the bottom feel heavy in a small kitchen?

Not usually. The deep red sits at the bottom of the image, so it grounds the print rather than crowding the room. In a small kitchen, hang it slightly lower so the cat's face is at eye level — the red then reads as a base, not a block, and the soft pink above keeps the wall feeling open.

Does this work in a more pared-back, neutral kitchen?

Yes, and arguably better. Against warm cream or off-white walls, the pink, mustard and red lift everything around them. You don't need to repeat the colours elsewhere — let the print be the one bright thing in the room. A bit of oak or brass nearby helps it settle in.

Is the cat's expression friendly or grumpy?

It's playful and a bit smug — the yellow eyes are wide and direct, the small pink nose softens the face, and the whole pose reads as cheeky rather than cross. People who live with the print tend to say it grows on them quickly, especially in rooms where guests gather.
