    About This Art

July is when the kitchen earns this. The back door stays open, somebody has found the good glasses, and the one slim wall between the fridge and the garden wants a reason to be looked at. Hang it there, tall and alone. Black ink on a cream ground holds its own against white tile and a marble worktop, and it still reads from the table at the far end. Give it the full height of the wall. At 40cm wide it looks like a doodle, at 70cm it becomes the host. Come winter it keeps working, because a cherry on a scoop of ice cream is a promise that summer comes back. Nothing colourful near it. A black stool, a plain linen cloth, and the room looks like it was planned. Stretched on canvas it hangs without glazing, so the kitchen light never bounces off it.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will it look lost on a tall hallway wall?

The opposite is the usual problem. Its tall shape is built for a narrow wall, so pick the size by the wall height rather than the width. On a wall of 2.4 metres, a print around 100cm tall hung with its centre at eye level fills the space without touching the skirting or the ceiling. Below 60cm tall the fine lines start to blur from the far end of a hallway.

Does the cream background clash with a bright white kitchen?

No, it softens it. Against pure white walls and tile the cream reads as warm paper rather than a different colour, and the black line does the contrast. Keep anything beside it plain. White tile, marble, pale plaster or black metal all sit well. A strong colour on the same wall, such as a red kettle or a coloured splashback, will fight the black ink.

Is it too much of a kitchen piece for a dining room?

It moves to the dining room easily, especially between two windows or on the narrow wall beside a sideboard. The subject is a dessert in a glass, so it sits closer to a bar or supper theme than a cooking one. In a dining room it earns its keep in the evening, when a single pendant light picks out the black line and the rest of the wall goes quiet.
