    About This Art

Most kitchens are all daytime. Toast, school bags, the radio on. This gives the room an evening it did not have, a bit of six o'clock dry wit on the wall before anyone has opened a bottle. Give it the narrow slip of wall between the back door and the fridge, where nothing else fits and a tall picture finally makes sense. The black ink sits sharp against white tiles or a pale marble worktop, and the cream ground stays warm under a cool kitchen spotlight. Hang it long. At 100cm tall the stem carries the height and the cherry lands about where your eye does. Keep the shelf beneath it simple, two coupe glasses and a bottle of something dark. Nothing patterned nearby. On canvas the weave softens the line slightly, and it hangs with no frame needed.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the cream background look yellow against a bright white kitchen wall?

It reads as warm paper rather than yellow. Against a pure white wall the cream shows as a soft tone that stops the black ink from feeling harsh, which is the point of it. If your kitchen is a cool white, hang it near a window so daylight evens it out. Against off-white or deep green walls the cream almost disappears and the ink does all the work.

How tall should I go on a narrow wall?

Go taller than instinct says. On a wall around 60cm wide, a drawing 100cm high looks right because the shape follows the wall rather than fighting it. Smaller than that and the fine hatching on the glass turns into a grey smudge from across the room. Leave at least a hand's width of clear wall on each side so the stem has room to stand.

Does it work anywhere other than a kitchen or a bar corner?

Yes, as long as the wall is tall and slim. A stair landing or the wall between two windows in a dining room both suit it, and a hallway near the front door gives guests the joke on the way in. It is less at home in a bedroom, where a cocktail reference sits oddly, and it is too narrow to carry a wide sofa wall on its own.
