    About This Art

Back in the 1950s, this kind of travel poster belonged to another kind of home — railway waiting rooms, travel agents on the high street, and a few well-travelled hallways. Pinned up by people who actually went, or wanted to.

Put it on the wall and a tired corner suddenly has somewhere to be. The terracotta, mustard and coral houses do most of the heavy lifting, the deep blue water settles the room, and the small boats give the eye something to hold.

Works best in a hallway, kitchen, or a living room that needs a bit more warmth and a clear focal point. Hang it at eye level on a plain wall so the colour stack reads cleanly.

Pair it with linen sofas, pale oak, terracotta planters, a bit of brass, and stoneware. Off-white or chalky cream walls flatter the warm side of the palette without dulling it.

Don't fight it with another loud picture next to it — this one wants to be the thing you notice. On canvas the colour blocks feel softer and the poster edge disappears.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Does the word CINQUETERRE appear on the print itself?

Yes — the name runs in dark grey block type along the lower edge, set against a cream border. It's part of the design, not an added caption, and it reads clearly from across a room. If you'd prefer a version without the lettering, this isn't that one.

Will the terracotta and deep blue feel too loud in a small hallway?

In a small hallway it actually works in your favour — the warm houses and cream sky lift a narrow space rather than crowd it. Keep the surrounding wall plain and the rest of the hallway calm (one console, one mirror) and the colour pulls its weight without taking over.

Which Cinque Terre village is shown?

The composition is closest to Riomaggiore and Manarola — the stacked clifftop houses dropping straight down to a small harbour of fishing boats. It's a stylised, poster-style view rather than a literal map of one village, so it reads as Cinque Terre as a whole.
