    About This Art

Put bluntly, your hallway can carry more black than it thinks. One dense tangle of scribbled line, one white background, and a wall that suddenly has a focal point. The dog reads instantly from across the room, then rewards a closer look as you pick out the nose, the ear and the shaggy legs inside the mess. Hang it at eye level in a hallway, above a desk, or on a narrow stretch of wall between doors. It sits happily with pale wood, painted joinery, black metal details and plain linen. Keep the wall around it fairly clear — busy patterned wallpaper fights the linework and the drawing loses its punch. On premium fine-art paper the fine line edges stay crisp and the white stays clean.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Does it actually look like a cockapoo, or just a tangle of lines?

From a step or two back the breed reads clearly — the shaggy muzzle, the drop ear and the thick curly coat are all there in the density of the lines. Up close you see the loops instead. That switch between the two is the point of the drawing, and it works best at medium size or larger.

Will it look odd if my cockapoo is apricot rather than black?

No. The drawing is about the shape and coat texture, not colour, so it reads as a cockapoo whatever your dog's colour. Most owners see the silhouette and the curly coat first. If you want a colour-accurate likeness of your own dog, a painted or photographic portrait would suit you better.

Is there enough white space around the dog, or will it feel empty?

There is a generous white margin above and around the figure, which is what lets the black lines land. It stops feeling empty once it is hung with clear wall each side rather than squeezed between furniture. If you prefer a fuller wall, pair it with one or two smaller line drawings.
