    About This Art

Before anyone mentions illustrated charts, notice what the warm brown does to oak in a kitchen. The oat background and tabby tones quietly pick up timber cabinets and stoneware, and the whole wall feels friendlier. It works best in a kitchen, breakfast nook or coffee corner, hung at eye level above a counter, console or small shelf where people stand around with mugs. Pair it with a linen runner, a few terracotta pots and brass or matte black handles. Skip glossy chrome features and busy patterned wallpaper nearby — the chart already has nine characters, so the wall around it should stay calm. Framed in oak or black, the illustration sits cleanly without overpowering the room.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Can you read the cat names clearly from across the room?

The names sit under each cat in a clean serif and are readable from about two to three metres away. At conversational distance over a breakfast counter, every name is easy to make out, including the smaller ones in the lower row.

Does the warm brown and cream palette work in a cool grey kitchen?

Honestly, not its strongest fit. The print leans warm — oat, brown and ginger — and looks best alongside timber, brass or linen. In a cool grey and chrome kitchen the temperatures will pull against each other, so it tends to suit warmer schemes.

Is it suitable for a child's room or only the kitchen?

It works in both. The illustration style is friendly enough for a kids' room or playroom, especially if a child has named the family cat after a coffee drink. In a kitchen it reads as a quiet conversation piece rather than a children's print.
