    About This Art

First glance: dusty terracotta peach. Second glance: the dachshund doing something smarter. The room reads a beat more playful the moment this goes up — less furniture catalogue, more bistro on a Saturday afternoon. The peach background warms a cool kitchen instantly; the navy and ochre stripes give your eye something graphic to land on. Hang it where the family actually gathers — above the kettle, next to the open shelves, beside the breakfast nook. It loves company: a small ceramic vase, a tan leather strap, a stack of cookbooks with cracked spines. Don't crowd it with other animal portraits or it tips into novelty; let this be the one wink in the room. Wrapped on a wooden stretcher with matte canvas weave that softens the crayon strokes into something tactile.

We're serious about canvas art, ask away

From sizing to framing and print quality, Fab's art experts break it all down—so you can find the right art for your space.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the deep navy of the dog look heavy against a pale kitchen wall?

It anchors rather than weighs. The dog's navy body is balanced by the large peach background and the ochre stripes of the chair, so on a chalky off-white or cream wall it reads as a confident focal point — not a dark hole. If your kitchen is already very white and bright, the navy gives the eye somewhere to land.

Is this too playful for a grown-up dining room?

The restraint is what saves it. Flat colour, hand-drawn line, no cartoon expressions — closer to a French illustrated cookbook than a novelty mug. It works in a dining room styled around oak, terracotta and warm metals, especially as the only humorous note. Avoid it if your dining scheme is formal traditional or minimal monochrome.

Does the orange of the spritz clash with warm terracotta floors or tiles?

It harmonises. The burnt-orange of the drink and orange wheel sits in the same warm family as terracotta, ochre and tan, so the print acts like a colour echo rather than a clash. If your floor leans cool grey or cherry red, the relationship is less seamless — peach and tan still carry it, but the orange will pop harder.
