    About This Art

Every kitchen has one. A strip of wall between the end of the units and the back door, too narrow for a shelf and too wide to leave bare. That gap is where this belongs. The leaf green sits well against white tile or painted tongue and groove, and the red on the apples picks up whatever is sitting in the fruit bowl. Hang it at eye level for someone standing at the counter rather than seated at the table. Nothing else on that wall. Off-white walls and old plaster suit it better than a cold grey scheme, because the pale ground blends into them and only the branch is left showing. If the kitchen has no spare strip, try the short wall at the top of the stairs, where it gets the same passing glance. On canvas it hangs without glazing, so kitchen steam and reflections from the window are no trouble.

We're serious about canvas art, ask away

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the green work in a kitchen with cream units and a wooden worktop?

Yes, that is the room it suits best. The leaf green sits between the cream and the wood without fighting either, and the off-white ground almost disappears against cream paint so only the branch shows. Keep tile plain and let a bowl of red apples or a red-striped tea towel carry the accent.

How large should I go on a narrow wall beside a door?

For a strip between 50 and 80cm wide, a medium size fills it comfortably and leaves a hand's width of wall either side. Go larger only if the wall is at least a metre wide or you view it from across a dining table. Too big on a narrow strip and the apples crowd the door frame.

Does the plate number and old lettering show up on the finished piece?

It does. The plate number top right, the apple name along the bottom and the small printer's credits are all part of the original sheet and stay in. Most buyers like them because they mark it out as a reproduction of a real 1879 page rather than a modern drawing. At small sizes the credits become faint but the apple name remains legible.
