Nothing in this soft brown and cream palette whispers, even when the room does. A white cat sits at a lattice window, looking out over distant ricefields and a snow-capped Mount Fuji. It is quiet, observant, and very easy to live with. The room slows down a little when this goes up. The eye is drawn through the window, so the wall behind it feels deeper than it is, which helps small rooms read calmer. Best above a low bookcase, a writing desk or a bedside table where you actually spend time. Hang it at seated eye-level. Pairs well with pale oak, linen, paper lampshades and warm off-white walls. Avoid hanging it next to anything loud or high-contrast — it loses its quiet if you do. The canvas gives the lattice and ricefields a softer, painterly edge.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?
Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.
When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.
Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?
Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.
You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.
How do I know what size will actually work in my space?
Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.
Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

What's your return policy?
If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.
We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.
Does the print include the Japanese text and red seal in the corner?
Yes. The cartouche at the top right and the small red seal at the lower right are part of Hiroshige's original woodblock and stay in the reproduction. They read as small graphic accents rather than dominant marks, and most buyers find they add to the character of the piece rather than distract from it.
Is the cat the main focus, or is it more about the landscape?
The cat is offset to the lower left and clearly draws the eye first, but the composition is balanced — your eye travels from the cat, through the lattice window, out to the ricefields and Mount Fuji, then back. It reads as a scene with a cat in it rather than a cat portrait, which is why it sits well in rooms that aren't strictly pet-themed.
Will the soft palette have enough presence on a white wall?
Yes, because the dark lattice and the deep charcoal floor give the print clear structure even at distance. On a true bright white wall, choose a black frame to sharpen the edges. On a warm off-white or soft plaster wall, an oak frame settles in better and lets the cream tones breathe.
