Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
   
   
2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
   
   
3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Not usually. Because the four cats are pale and warm against the near-black, the eye reads the faces first and the dark backdrop acts more like a frame than a block of colour. In a smaller room, hang it at proper eye level rather than high up, and keep the wall around it relatively clear so the portrait has room to breathe.

Yes. It reads as a painted group portrait first and a cat picture second, so it lands as characterful art rather than literal pet decor. Cat owners tend to enjoy the nod, but the warm pink, ginger and soft green palette is what carries the piece on the wall.

It looks strong on chalky off-white and warm neutrals, where the dark backdrop adds depth. It also works beautifully on a deep charcoal, forest green or inky blue painted wall, where the pale cats glow forward. Avoid cool bright white with chrome — the warm tones can feel slightly stranded.
