    About This Art

'Too safe,' said nobody standing in front of soft cream and deep red. This is a quiet Christmas piece — a cat at an arched window, a snowman in the snow, candles on the sill, a red bow underneath. It does the festive job without shouting. Put it up in early December and the room shifts. The cream background keeps the wall calm; the candles and bow add just enough warmth to feel like the season has properly started. Best at eye level in a living room, hallway or entryway, or above a console where a small lamp can echo the candlelight. Pair with linen, oak, stoneware and a single deep red accent — a cushion, a runner, a wreath ribbon. Skip the tinsel and the loud cartoon snowmen nearby; this one wants gentler company. Printed on premium fine-art paper for a soft, painterly finish.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will this read as Christmas-only or can it stay up longer?

It leans winter rather than full Christmas. The cream background, snow scene and cat sit happily through January and February if you take down the bow visually by pairing with neutral decor. Most people put it up in late November and take it down with the tree.

Is the red bow strong enough to clash with a colourful room?

The red is a small, deep accent — more cranberry than letterbox — and reads as soft against the cream background. It sits fine next to oak, linen and sage tones. If your room already runs bright red, pink or orange, it may compete; calm cream and green rooms suit it best.

Is the cat detailed or more of a silhouette?

More of a soft, painted silhouette — a tabby seen from behind, watching the snowman. You get the shape and warm brown tone but no facial detail. That's deliberate; it keeps the piece quiet and lets the window scene do the work.
