    About This Art

The frame decides which room this belongs to. Brown wood turns it into an old panel lifted from a country house, and it wants a dark stair wall with a mahogany banister and not much else. Gold dresses it up. Coral in the peonies warms against gilt, and the whole thing moves to the bedroom, hung between two windows on a putty-coloured wall. White keeps it quiet enough for a spare room. Black is the wrong call, it flattens the grey-green ground to mud. Whichever you pick, give it height. Below 90cm tall the cranes shrink into wallpaper. At full stretch on a narrow hallway wall they stand at shoulder height, and the corridor gets a reason to slow down. On canvas it comes stretched and ready to hang, or as a framed canvas in the same six colours.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the pink and coral look too sweet in a grown-up living room?

Not in this palette. The pink here is dusty rather than sugary, and the coral sits against a grey-green ground that pulls everything back towards sage. In a living room with a dark wood sideboard or a deep green sofa it reads as heritage colour, not nursery colour. Keep other pinks out of the room and let the peonies carry it alone.

Can I hang two of these as a pair either side of a bed or fireplace?

Yes, and it is how chinoiserie panels were meant to hang. Two on either side of a bed or a chimney breast bracket the space and make the wall between them feel intentional. Keep the gap between them at least the width of one panel, and hang both at exactly the same height so the pair reads as one decision rather than an accident.

Does the grey-green background work with white walls or does it need colour behind it?

White walls work, but the softer the white the better. A bright brilliant white makes the grey-green look dirty by comparison. Off-white, stone or putty walls let the ground read as old plaster, which is the point. If you are willing to paint, a dusty sage or a muted blue-green behind it pushes the coral peonies forward and makes the cranes look like they were always there.
