    About This Art

Before anyone mentions cubism, notice what the burnt orange does to walnut. The wood warms up, the room takes on a bit of attitude, and a quiet corner suddenly has a point of view. This is a cat broken into hard-edged blocks of cream, black, dusty blue and rust — confident, a little funny, properly opinionated. Hang it where a room needs character without going maximalist: above a writing desk, in a hallway that gets passed a hundred times a day, or over a sideboard in the living room. Pairs well with mid-century timber, leather, bouclé and earthy ceramics. Skip the busy gallery wall — this one needs space. Framed in a black or oak frame, the geometry reads even sharper.

    Printing, Paper and Frames

Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Is the cat's expression friendly or grumpy?

Somewhere in between — the two yellow eyes and the angled brows give it a properly opinionated look rather than a sweet one. It reads as confident and a bit dry, which is part of the charm. If you want a softer, cuddlier cat portrait, this isn't quite that piece.

Will the burnt orange clash with a warm clay or terracotta room?

It tends to sit happily alongside warm clay and terracotta because the orange in the print is in the same family — earthy rather than neon. The black and cream do most of the structural work, so the orange reads as an accent rather than competing. A cooler grey or blue room will give it more contrast.

Does it work in a small room or only a big wall?

It's a medium-scale piece, so it works well above a desk, console or sideboard in a normal-sized room. You want at least 80 cm of clear wall around it so the geometry has room to breathe. In a very small room, go for the smaller size and keep nearby walls calm.
