    About This Art

Because the artist knew restraint, the mustard yellow hits harder here. Two loose hot dogs, a squiggle of yellow, a flash of blue and red lettering — and a lot of breathing room.

Drop this on a kitchen wall and the room loosens up. It signals that food gets cooked here, friends come round, and nothing is too precious. Modern kitchens stop feeling clinical. Older kitchens stop feeling fussy.

Hang it above a breakfast bar, beside a fridge, in a dining nook, or in a hallway leading to the kitchen. Eye level works. Slightly low above a counter also works.

Pair it with pale oak, white tiles, enamel jugs, stoneware, linen tea towels, terracotta pots. Anything honest and lived-in.

Don't pair it with serious art or heavy florals — the joke gets lost. The canvas keeps the edge soft and the surface matte, which suits the loose hand-drawn style.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the cream background look dirty next to a bright white kitchen?

It can. The background reads as warm off-white, not pure white, so against very crisp gloss-white cabinets or tiles it may look slightly aged. In warm or painted kitchens, or against pale oak, it sits comfortably. If your kitchen is cool and stark white, this print will fight it.

Is the lettering large enough to read across a room?

Yes from a normal distance — around two to three metres. The 'Dalston' and 'Dogs' lettering is bold and sits clearly against the cream background. From across a large open-plan kitchen-diner it will read as type rather than detail, which is part of the appeal.

Does it work in a kid-friendly or family kitchen?

Yes. The subject is friendly, the colours are warm, and there's nothing sharp or grown-up about the style. It suits family kitchens, breakfast nooks and even older children's rooms if they like food-themed art. Nothing to explain or hide.
