    About This Art

Rooms go quieter when mustard yellow is this sure of itself. A loose painted figure stretches across an olive-green ground in soft yellow, with purple-tipped hands and feet and a candy-stripe hem at the bottom. It's playful without being childish, and confident without trying too hard. Hang it on a wall that needs waking up — a kids' room, nursery, hallway, or the back wall of a study. It works above a low bookshelf, a small bed, or a painted dresser. Pair it with pale oak, painted timber in mustard or soft pink, woven rugs, and warm cotton bedding. Skip anything too polished or grown-up alongside it; this one wants to be the loudest thing in the room. Stretched on a wooden frame and ready to hang straight out of the box.

We're serious about canvas art, ask away

From sizing to framing and print quality, Fab's art experts break it all down—so you can find the right art for your space.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the soft yellow look too pale on a white wall?

It holds up well on warm off-white and chalky cream walls — the olive-green background gives the yellow figure plenty of contrast. On a cool stark white, the yellow can read slightly washed out, so a warmer wall or a darker frame helps the piece sit properly.

Is this suitable for a young child's room, or is it more for an older kid?

It works from nursery age right through to older children. The figure is abstract enough to read as friendly without being a specific cartoon character, and the painterly finish means it doesn't date the way licensed character art does. Parents tend to keep it on the wall longer.

Does the candy-stripe border at the bottom dominate the piece?

No — it sits as a thin band along the bottom edge, more like a hem than a feature. It adds a flash of pink and yellow that lifts the palette, but the painted figure on the olive ground is clearly the main event.
