    About This Art

We like dog portraits best when they come with a little abrasion. This one has plenty — wonky spots, pink cheeks, a scarf that can't decide if it's pink or red, and a pair of orange shoes that absolutely shouldn't work but do. Put it up and the room gets a sense of humour. Walls that were behaving themselves suddenly have a character in them, and the deep green background gives whatever's in front of it — a sofa, a console, a chest of drawers — something to push against. It earns its place in a hallway, a kids' room that's outgrown nursery art, or a living room that needs a bit of personality. Pair it with oak, warm leather and a little brass. Don't hang it next to other busy, character-led art — it wants to be the one doing the talking. Printed on premium fine-art paper.

    Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Is this too playful for a grown-up living room?

It's cheeky, not childish. The deep green background and the painterly brushwork keep it on the grown-up side. In a living room it reads as a confident character print rather than a kids' illustration, especially next to dark wood, leather or velvet. If your room is very minimal and quiet, it will be the loudest thing in there — which is the point.

Will the deep green background work on a white wall?

Yes, and it's one of the easiest ways to hang it. The green sits as a solid block against a white or off-white wall, so the dog and the scarf do the talking. On a coloured wall, aim for something quieter than the print — soft pink, cream, oat or a muted green. Avoid hanging it on a busy patterned wall.

Is the scarf pink or red?

Both. The scarf is layered — a warm pink underneath with deep red dots and orange edges, so it shifts depending on the light in the room. In daylight it leans pink; under warm lamps in the evening it reads more red. That's useful if your room already has either colour in cushions, rugs or upholstery.
