    About This Art

Put bluntly, your kitchen can carry more warm caramel brown than it thinks. This is a hand-painted tiramisu recipe — egg yolks, mascarpone, ladyfingers, a stovetop coffee pot, two slices of the finished dessert on a blue-rimmed plate — laid out in soft watercolour.

The wall stops being a blank cream rectangle. The room reads as cared-for and lived-in, the kind of kitchen that actually cooks. Hang it between cupboards, above a coffee station, or in a breakfast nook where you can read it over your morning espresso.

It loves oak and walnut, painted shaker fronts, cream subway tile and a bit of brass. Stoneware mugs and a linen tea towel finish the look.

What not to do: don't crowd it with three other busy recipe prints — let this one talk. On fine-art paper the lettering and watercolour washes stay crisp and confident.

    Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Is the recipe text actually readable, or just decorative?

It's readable. The quantities and steps are hand-lettered clearly — 4 egg yolks, half a cup of sugar, two and a half cups of mascarpone, dip ladyfingers in coffee, layer, dust with cocoa, chill four hours. At a medium size and normal viewing distance, you can follow it from a step or two away.

Will the caramel brown tones clash with a cool grey kitchen?

It depends how cool. With warm greige and oak accents it'll sit comfortably. With icy white, chrome and pale blue-grey it can feel out of place — the print leans warm, so the room needs at least one warm material (oak, brass, linen) to meet it halfway.

Does the portrait shape work between standard kitchen cupboards?

Yes — that's where it's happiest. A medium portrait fits the gap between two upper cupboards, above a coffee station or beside a pantry door. If the gap is narrower than about 40cm, size down rather than crop the layout.
