    About This Art

Devil's Tower rises out of a dark pine forest in this vintage linen postcard view, made for anyone who has driven out to Wyoming or wants to. The striped grey and cream rock column fills the top half, the soft blue sky with peach clouds sits behind it, and the trees below carry olive, moss and one rust-red stand of autumn colour. The fine linen texture of the original card shows through. Its tall, narrow shape suits a strip of wall between two windows, a hallway or a stair landing, where a wide picture would not fit. The olive and stone tones sit well against walnut, worn leather, waxed pine and off-white plaster. The small handwritten number in the corner is part of the original card. Stretched over a wooden frame and ready to hang.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

What is the place shown in this picture?

It is Devil's Tower in north-east Wyoming, a huge column of igneous rock rising about 265 metres above the Belle Fourche River valley. The picture is a mid-century linen postcard view, with the ridged rock above a pine forest and a green meadow in front. It became the first US national monument in 1906 and is sacred to many Plains tribes.

Where does such a tall, narrow shape work best?

It is made for slim walls: a gap between two windows, a hallway, beside a door frame or on a stair landing. On a wide wall over a sofa it can look small, so pair it with a second tall piece or keep it to narrower spaces. A medium size suits most hallways, and a larger size works on a double-height stair wall.

Will the colours suit a modern room?

The palette is muted rather than bright: olive and moss greens, a soft powder blue sky and stone-cream rock with a little rust. That sits easily with warm whites, oat linen, walnut and leather, so it works in rustic, farmhouse and transitional rooms. In a stark white minimalist space it reads as a deliberate vintage accent rather than a match.
