    About This Art

Too much beige. Not enough orange. This fixes that. A reproduction of a 1960 gallery poster, with one big orange shape, a quiet grey-blue bar above it, and the original exhibition type along the bottom. Put it on a calm wall and the room sharpens up. The orange does the work; the cream paper keeps it from shouting. Best on a feature wall in a living room, study or wide hallway — somewhere with a bit of breathing room. Pair it with oak or walnut furniture, a linen sofa, and warm cream walls. Skip anything fussy or floral next to it; this print wants space, not company. Printed on premium fine-art paper, with the option to add a real wood frame.

    Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Is the exhibition text along the bottom included in the print?

Yes. The original 1960 typography — Friedel Dzubas, exhibition dates and the Robert Elkon Gallery address on Madison — runs along the bottom edge, exactly as on the original poster. It's small but part of the design, and it's what makes this a vintage gallery poster rather than a generic orange abstract.

Will the orange be too much in a small room?

It's a big block of warm orange, so it will dominate a small room rather than sit quietly in it. That's fine if you want one strong focal point on an otherwise calm wall. If you'd rather the colour stayed in the background, this isn't the right print — pick something more muted.

Does this work with warm pinks or reds in the same room?

Not really. The orange is loud and warm, and it tends to fight other warm brights — coral cushions, red rugs, hot pink throws — rather than sit alongside them. It works best against cream, off-white, oak, walnut and linen, where the orange is the only strong colour in the room.
