All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

• Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  
• Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
   
   
2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
   
   
3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

The castle silhouette and the tenement architecture are recognisably Edinburgh — the chimneys, the wynd, the rising hill all read as the Old Town. But the watercolour handling is loose enough that it doesn't feel like a literal landmark study. If you've lived there or visited, you'll see it instantly. If you haven't, it reads as a soft European old-town street.

It shouldn't. The navy is washed and chalky rather than saturated, and it's balanced by the cream tenements and terracotta awnings across the street. In a small or north-facing room, the overall reading is still light. If your walls are very pale, the navy gives the print a useful anchor rather than dragging the room dark.

The cobblestone leads gently up the wynd toward the castle, so there's a soft diagonal pull from foreground to upper centre. It still hangs well centred above a sofa or sideboard — the buildings on either side frame the street and keep the composition stable. If you're hanging off-centre, lean it slightly to the right to follow the eye-line.
