    About This Art

Walk into a living room with this on the far wall and the orange is what you see first, before the sofa, before the window. Everything else in the room reads calmer by comparison. Dark teal walls take it best, since the ground almost disappears and the heat seems to hang on the plaster by itself. A charcoal or off-white wall works nearly as well. Hang it above a leather sofa or a low walnut sideboard, centred, with the bottom edge about a hand above the furniture. Go large. At 80cm square the diagonal pulls the eye across the room from the doorway, and at 40cm it becomes a tidy square that nobody crosses the room for. Keep lamps warm and low. One rust cushion is all the orange the room needs after this. On canvas the thick knife marks read as texture, with no glass between you and the paint.

    Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

    Made responsibly
FSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the orange clash with a tan leather sofa?

No, that is one of the best places for it. Tan leather sits between the orange and the warm brown in the painting, so the sofa looks like part of the same scheme rather than a competitor. Keep cushions in rust, cream or deep teal and the wall calm. The combination to avoid is red or pink upholstery, which argues with the orange rather than agreeing with it.

Does it need a dark wall, or will it work on white?

It works on both, but they do different things. On deep teal or charcoal the ground melts into the wall and the orange appears to float, which is the strongest effect from a doorway. On plain white or off-white the square edge shows and the piece reads as a bold object on the wall. Either way, give it the wall to itself and keep nearby colours quiet.

What size do I need above a three-seater sofa?

Aim for 80cm square or more above a standard three-seater. The diagonal sweep is what pulls your eye across the room, and below about 60cm it flattens into a small square that nobody notices from the door. Centre it on the sofa, bottom edge roughly a hand above the back cushions. If the wall is wider than 2.5m, go up a size rather than adding a second piece.
