    About This Art

Some cat prints match a room. This one resets its pecking order. A wide-eyed black cat sits in a blue pond, ringed by tall pink water lilies — the kind of picture that makes a room feel slightly more imaginative than it was five minutes ago.

Put it up and a quiet wall stops being quiet. The pinks lift, the blues cool the space down, and the cat does the rest. It brings a bit of humour without tipping into novelty.

It works best in a bathroom, a downstairs loo, a nursery, or a kid's room. Above a small console in a hallway is also a good shout. Hang it at eye level on a pale wall so the pond reads cleanly.

Pairs well with rattan, painted timber, soft pink linen and washed blue tiles. The wrapped canvas edge keeps things softer and less formal than a framed print.

We're serious about canvas art, ask away

From sizing to framing and print quality, Fab's art experts break it all down—so you can find the right art for your space.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the pink and blue feel too cold in a north-facing bathroom?

The pinks warm things up more than you'd expect, and the greens in the water stop the blues feeling icy. In a north-facing bathroom it reads fresh rather than cold, especially against pale tiles and brass taps. Avoid hanging it on a deep cool grey wall — a soft off-white or washed blue works much better.

Is this a good fit for a nursery, or is the cat a bit spooky?

The cat is a friendly black silhouette with very round eyes — closer to a children's book character than anything moody. It works well in a nursery or kids' room, particularly above a low dresser or changing table. Most small children find the wide eyes and the flowers funny rather than scary.

How big should I go on a small bathroom wall?

A medium size is the sweet spot — big enough to read clearly from across the room, small enough not to crowd a basin or a mirror. If your wall is very narrow, drop a size. Hang it at standing eye level rather than too high, so the cat and the reflections sit in your sightline.
