    About This Art

Most halls run cold. Off-white walls, a grey floor, one small window at the far end, and nothing to warm the light on its way through. Hang this at the end of that run and the orange path warms the whole corridor. The mustard canopy throws warmth back at the ceiling, and the deep green and navy trunks keep the whole thing from tipping into sunset kitsch. It works hardest against a cool wall. Pale grey plaster or a chalky white lets the pink sky look warm rather than sweet, and a slate or stone floor gives the orange something cold to argue with. Warm rooms need less of it. Beside a teak sideboard, hang it higher and let the blue and purple do the talking instead. One tall wall, nothing beside it. On canvas the thick brushwork shows and there is no glass to catch the hall light.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the orange clash with a rust or red sofa?

It sits closer to a match than a clash. The path is a warm orange leaning towards coral, so a rust sofa reads as the same family and the deep green and navy in the trunks do the separating. A true pillar-box red is harder. In that case hang it on the wall the sofa faces rather than above it, so the two reds are never side by side.

How tall should I go on a hallway wall?

Taller than feels safe. In a hall you see this from the far end first, and below 80cm tall the trees shrink into a pattern and the path loses its pull. At 100cm or more the trunks read as trunks from the front door. Leave a clear hand's width above a radiator or console, and keep the bottom edge around hip height so the path meets your eye as you walk.

Is there too much colour here for a small hall?

Not if the wall around it stays plain. Small halls suffer from small pictures, not from strong ones, and a single tall piece makes a short corridor feel longer because the eye travels up the trunks. Paint the wall pale grey or off-white, skip the runner with a pattern, and the orange and purple have room to breathe rather than fight.
