    About This Art

Yes, this whimsical illustrator knew how to charm a room — and how to cut. The flowers do the charming; the eagle's stare does the rest. Put it on a quiet wall and the room stops feeling polite. It gives a soft cream bedroom a bit of backbone, and it gives a serious study a joke it can live with for years. Hang it at eye level above a chest of drawers, a cot or a small desk, where the face reads clearly from a metre or two. Pair it with painted furniture, linen, cane and pale wood. Don't crowd it with other loud animal faces, and don't bury it behind a lamp — the eyes need clear air. On fine-art paper the pencil detail in the feathers stays crisp.

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the pale cream background disappear against an off-white wall?

It sits very close in tone, so the edges will soften. That can look lovely if you want a quiet effect. If you want more definition, use a slim white or black frame, or hang it against a wall painted a shade or two deeper — soft grey, pale sage or warm clay all give the cream background something to push against.

Is the eagle's expression too stern for a child's room?

It reads as funny rather than frightening. The flower crown, soft pink tones and fine pencil lines do most of the work, and the stare lands as deadpan comedy. Most children find it more amusing than scary. If your child is very young and sensitive to faces, hang it above a chest of drawers rather than directly facing the bed.

Does it work on its own or does it need a partner piece?

It holds a wall on its own because the face gives it a clear focal point. It also pairs neatly with a second animal portrait of the same size, hung side by side with a small gap. If you go for a group, keep the other pieces quieter — botanical studies or plain pencil work in the same cream and pink range.
