    About This Art

Kitchens collect things. Postcards, a clock, the calendar, three bottles of oil. Clear one wall of all of it and give the cake the space. Chocolate brown holds its own against a sage or off-white wall, so skip the feature paint. Pack away the blue and white china from the shelf below, because the cobalt plate border already does that job. One print, hung at eye level above the breakfast table or at the end of a run of pine cupboards. Keep metal to a minimum nearby. A single brass tap is plenty. Nothing patterned on the table under it either, just a plain linen cloth or bare wood. Less around it, and the slice looks freshly cut. On canvas the brushmarks sit proud of the surface and there is no glass to catch the kitchen light.

    Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

    Made responsibly
FSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the sage green background clash with a white kitchen?

No, it tends to do the opposite. In an all-white kitchen the sage reads as the only soft colour in the room and the white walls make it look greener. The chocolate brown gives the wall some weight, which white kitchens often lack. Keep nearby surfaces plain and the print becomes the one warm thing in the room.

What size works above a kitchen table?

For a table seating four, a square around 50 to 60cm across sits comfortably above it at eye level. Go smaller than 40cm and the thick brushmarks on the frosting disappear from across the room. Larger than 70cm starts to crowd a normal kitchen wall unless the ceiling is high and the wall is otherwise bare.

Does it work on a dark wall as well as a pale one?

Yes, and differently. On off-white or sage the whole thing looks fresh and the cobalt plate border stands out. On a navy or deep green wall the blue block at the bottom nearly merges with the paint and the cake seems to float forward. Both work, so choose by whether you want the room calm or dramatic.
