Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
   
   
2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
   
   
3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

The navy reads as warm rather than dark because so much of the picture is red, cream and teal. In a small bedroom it actually makes the room feel cocooning rather than shrunken. Hang it on a lighter wall — chalky white or soft pink — and the navy frames the portrait without weighing the room down.

Both are clearly visible and roughly the same size. The ginger and white cat sits on her right shoulder, the black cat on her left, and both have bright eyes that catch attention. They balance the composition and give the portrait its warmth, so neither fades into the background.

Hallways are actually a strong fit. You see the piece for a moment as you pass, so a bold focal portrait works better there than something subtle. Hang it above a console or on the end wall of a narrow hallway, give it a bit of breathing room, and don't add competing artwork nearby.
