Stand in the kitchen doorway and look at the far wall. That is where this goes. Tomato red reaches you first, from right across the room, and the whole place takes on a roadside diner mood before anyone has sat down. Cream walls help. Scrubbed pine and a shelf of enamelware help more. Black in the horse holds the check steady, so from the door it reads as a picture rather than wallpaper. Hang it at head height, around 50cm wide, with nothing else on that wall. Keep other red to one thing, a kettle or a tea towel. Are Fab canvas prints good quality?
Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.
When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.
How do I know what size will actually work in my space?
Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.
Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Will the red be too much in a small kitchen?
Not if the walls are cream or off-white and you keep other red to a single object. The check sits on a pale ground, so the red reads as a pattern rather than a block of colour. In a galley kitchen hang it at the end wall rather than along the run of units, so you see it from the door and not from six inches away at the sink.
Does it suit a child's bedroom or is it too grown up?
It works well for children from about four up and keeps working into the teens, which is more than most nursery art manages. The horse and the grin do the appeal for younger ones, the retro poster look carries it later. Pair it with a plain wooden bed and a navy or cream quilt rather than character bedding, and it will outlast several redecorations.
What size should I go for above a kitchen dresser?
Aim for something between 40 and 60cm wide, so the rider stands roughly the height of a kettle. Smaller than that and the check pattern swallows the figure from across the room. Larger only makes sense on a bare end wall with no dresser beneath it. Leave a hand's width between the top of the dresser and the bottom edge.
