    About This Art

Try it above the writing desk; the tall vertical stem will do the editing. One leaf, one long line, and suddenly the wall has a focus instead of a gap. The mustard yellow ground warms up cooler paint colours, so grey, stone and off-white walls stop looking flat. Hang it at eye level in a study, bedroom or hallway, or pair two for a narrow run of wall. Keep the furnishings simple around it: pale or dark wood, oat linen, a stoneware pot, one plant. What it doesn't want is competition — skip busy patterned wallpaper, shiny gold accessories or a crowded shelf directly beneath it. On fine-art paper the soft ink edges and grainy wash stay crisp and quiet.

    Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the mustard yellow look too strong on a white wall?

No — it reads as a warm glow rather than a bright block, because the yellow is softened by ink shading. On a white or off-white wall it warms the whole corner without shouting. If your walls are grey or stone, the effect is stronger and more welcome, since the yellow puts some warmth back in.

Does the long empty stem look odd in a smaller size?

At smaller sizes the lower half of the picture can read as a lot of plain yellow. Medium or larger works best, because the stem then has enough length to feel deliberate. If you want a small size, hang it as part of a pair or trio so the empty space feels intentional.

Is it too Japanese-looking for a British living room?

It's simple enough to sit anywhere. One leaf, one long line, warm background — that's it. The brushed characters and red seal give it origin without turning the room into a theme. Pair it with pale or dark wood, oat linen and stoneware and it reads as a calm botanical rather than a cultural statement.
