    About This Art

Beside the bath, not above it. A roll-top bath leaves one awkward wall at its end, too narrow for a cabinet and too visible to ignore, and an octopus from 1790s London is the right thing to fill it. The coral pink lifts white metro tile that has gone a bit clinical. Soft green in the body picks up any sage or seafoam you already have on the woodwork. Hang it at the height of someone sitting in the water, lower than you would in a hallway, so it reads from the bath rather than the door. One plant, nothing else on that wall. Bathroom light is flat and the pink holds without sun. Keep towels plain. Patterned towels fight the curls and nobody wins. On canvas the white background reads as plaster, which suits a tiled room.

We're serious about canvas art, ask away

From sizing to framing and print quality, Fab's art experts break it all down—so you can find the right art for your space.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the coral pink work in a bathroom with white tile?

Yes, and that is where it works best. White metro tile can look cold under flat bathroom light, and the coral pink warms it without needing any pink elsewhere in the room. Keep towels and bath mats plain white or sage so the pink stays the one warm note. Pink walls or pink towels make it disappear rather than lift.

What size should I choose for a wall beside the bath?

Medium is the sweet spot. The arms are thin and the body is finely stippled, so the detail wants to be seen from about a metre, which is roughly where you sit in a bath. Too small and the curls become a smudge. Larger than about 60cm tall and it starts to dominate a small tiled room instead of surprising in it.

Can I hang it with other natural history prints?

It groups well with three or four other plates, especially shells, seaweed or birds in similar off-white grounds. Use it as the connector between pink botanicals and cooler sea subjects, since it carries both pink and green. Match the frames across the set and keep spacing even, because the loose arms already add plenty of movement.
