    About This Art

Before anyone mentions Vienna Secession, notice what the warm terracotta does to plaster. The wall behind it warms a half-shade, and the cream and gold in the dress pick up the woodwork. Hang it eye-level above a console, sideboard or low bookcase in a living room, study or wide hallway. Pair it with velvet or linen upholstery, walnut timber and a little aged brass. Keep nearby walls quiet — a chalky off-white or muted clay tone lets the portrait sit properly. Avoid stacking it next to other busy portraits or anything cool and graphic; the warmth and the small mosaic detail want a little breathing room. Printed on premium fine-art paper, available unframed or framed in real wood with premium acrylic glazing.

    Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the warm terracotta clash with cool grey or blue walls?

It can. The wall behind Fritza Riedler is a warm clay-terracotta, and that warmth will fight a cool blue-grey wall. It looks far better against chalky off-white, soft cream, warm beige or a muted clay tone. If your walls are cool, try hanging it on a section painted a warmer neutral, or move it to a hallway or study with warmer paint.

Is this piece busy or calm on the wall?

Mostly calm. The dress takes up the centre as a soft, near-cream shape, and the wall is a flat warm terracotta. The small mosaic squares and the band of gold add interest without crowding it. As a single anchor above a console or sideboard it reads as one quiet portrait rather than a busy picture.

Does the portrait need to hang on its own or can I pair it with other art?

It works best on its own as a single anchor. If you do pair it, keep companions quiet and warm-toned — a small landscape, a botanical study or simple typography in cream and brown. Avoid putting it next to bright modern abstracts, graphic black-and-white pieces or other strong portraits, which fight it for attention.
