    About This Art

Start with the cool blue; it'll wake every pale oak around it. The valley pulls your eye straight up the mountain, and the room follows.

A hallway suddenly has somewhere to look. A home office stops feeling like a cupboard with a chair in it. The cool blues bring a clean, outdoorsy mood without making the space feel cold.

It belongs on a portrait wall with a bit of breathing room above a console, a low bench, or the back of a desk. Eye-level, not crammed under a shelf.

Pair it with pale oak, off-white walls, mid-grey wool, brushed steel, and a sheepskin or two. Anything warm and a little woolly will offset the snow.

Keep it away from very warm yellow lighting and busy patterned walls — the mountain wants room to breathe. Choose unframed, or framed in oak or black for a clean travel-poster finish.

    Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Is the 'Hakuba Valley Japan' text part of the print?

Yes. The white 'HAKUBA VALLEY' and 'JAPAN' lettering sits at the bottom of the image and is part of the design. It's a modern travel-poster style, so the place name reads clearly without dominating the mountain above.

Will the cool blue tones feel cold in a north-facing room?

It can, if the room is already cool and bare. Balance it with warm textures — pale oak, sheepskin, wool throws, a soft warm-white bulb — and the blues will read crisp rather than chilly. In a south-facing or warmly lit room, the cool tones settle in easily.

Does it work in a portrait orientation above a sofa, or is it better elsewhere?

It can sit above a sofa, but the portrait crop really earns its keep on a narrower wall — the end of a hallway, behind a desk, or above a console. The tall composition pushes the eye up, so it likes height more than width.
