    About This Art

Hang this where the side-light hits and the deep black sharpens. The bird is small, tilted forward, drawn in loose ink on a soft off-white ground — quiet enough to live with every day, distinctive enough to hold a wall on its own. It brings a focused, thoughtful note to a room: studies, reading corners, hallways and bedrooms all settle around it. Hang at eye level above a low console, desk or bedside table, or use it to soften a sharp modern room. Pair with pale oak, black metal, linen and stoneware. Avoid hanging it against very busy patterned wallpaper or alongside loud, high-colour pieces — the ink line wants a little breathing space.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will such a small subject get lost on a big wall?

It can if hung on a very wide empty wall in a small size. Go up to a medium size, hang it lower than usual — above a desk, console or bedside — and let the off-white ground do the work. The negative space is part of the composition, so the bird stays the focal point.

Does this work in a colourful, layered room?

It can, but it shines in calmer settings. In a busy room, give it a clear patch of wall and avoid placing it next to high-colour or high-pattern pieces. Against off-white, chalky paint or pale wood panelling it holds its own without competing.

What frame colour suits this best?

A slim black frame is the most natural fit — it picks up the deep ink line and gives the soft off-white ground a clean edge. Smoked timber or a very dark brown works too. Avoid gold or heavy ornate frames, which fight the loose, hand-drawn feel.
