Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
   
   
2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
   
   
3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

It's stylised. The brushwork keeps the shopfront signs loose and painterly rather than legible characters, so it reads as Tokyo atmosphere without being a literal sign you could translate. That keeps it working as art rather than as a document of one exact street.

The cream border is part of the poster design, so a frame with a small mat or no mat at all works best. An oak or white wood frame picks up the cream and keeps the focus on the painted scene rather than adding a second neutral edge.

Honestly, only just. The peach and mustard are warm, but the cream ground is light and the dark greens are cool. In a very grey or blue-grey room it can feel a little adrift — it's happiest with at least one other warm element nearby, like oak, linen or terracotta.
