    Yes, Japanese woodblock artists knew how to charm a room — and how to cut. This is one feather, drawn in black ink on a warm aged gold background, and it does more work than a whole wall of small pictures. Hang it and the room gets quieter and more deliberate: the long vertical line pulls the eye up, and the warm background takes the chill off a plain painted wall. It suits a bedroom chimney breast, a narrow hallway, or the wall behind a writing desk. Pair it with dark wood, cane, linen and simple stoneware. Don't crowd it with busy patterned pieces or bright colour — this one needs space around it to read properly. As a canvas the warm background reads softer and more like an aged painted panel.

    Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

    Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

    Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

    Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

    You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

    How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

    Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

    Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

    What's your return policy?

    Will this look too dark in a small room?

    No. Most of the picture is warm golden tan, with the black kept to the feather itself. In a small bedroom or hallway it reads as a warm, light piece with one strong dark shape, rather than a heavy dark panel. It actually helps a small room feel taller.

    Does it need a wall to itself?

    It works best with clear space either side, so the long stem reads from top to bottom. A chimney breast, a narrow hallway wall or the space above a bed are all good. If you do cluster it, keep it the largest piece and use two quiet companions at most.

    What wall colour suits it best?

    Chalky off-white, warm cream, clay and soft mushroom all work well, because the golden background carries straight into the wall. Deep green and charcoal walls also suit it, making the black linework sharper. Cool grey-blue walls are the trickiest match, as they pull against the warmth.
