    About This Art

What it adds isn't clutter. It's loose, hand-drawn tension in the right places. A grinning Labrador, drawn in crayon and pastel, with a sky-blue background and a patch of grass-green behind him.

The room warms up the moment it goes on the wall. The white of the dog opens the space, the blue lifts a flat corner, and the bit of red around the mouth and ear gives the eye something to hold onto.

Hang it where people gather — above a kitchen sideboard, on a kids' room wall, by the back door where the leads live. It likes daylight but won't lose its bite in lamplight.

Pair it with painted shaker units, linen, oak and stoneware. Keep the rest of the wall quiet.

The canvas weave softens the crayon marks even further and leans into the hand-drawn feel.

We're serious about canvas art, ask away

From sizing to framing and print quality, Fab's art experts break it all down—so you can find the right art for your space.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Is this a yellow Labrador specifically, or could it pass for another breed?

It reads clearly as a yellow Labrador — the broad muzzle, the floppy ear, the heavy black nose and the open grin are all very Lab. A golden retriever owner might enjoy it too, but it isn't a generic dog sketch.

Will the sky-blue background look too cold in a warm-toned kitchen?

No — the blue sits against a warm cream paper background and is balanced by the coral red around the mouth and ear, so it reads as bright rather than chilly. It works well with oak, painted cream cabinets and stoneware.

The marks look unfinished — is that the actual print, or is something missing?

That's the print. It's drawn in crayon and pastel and keeps the loose, sketchy edges on purpose — visible strokes, bare paper around the chest, scribbled grass. The looseness is what gives it character rather than feeling like a stock pet portrait.
