    By evening, the white phoenix stops looking decorative and starts working. The long trailing tail pulls a slow line across the wall, and the warm beige ground holds the rest of the room together rather than fighting it.

    The room reads quieter. Edges soften, lamp pools feel deeper, and the wall behind the sofa or the bed stops being a blank.

    It hangs best above a low piece of furniture — a console, a sideboard, a bed — at eye-level, with a bit of breathing space either side. Hallways and reading corners suit it too.

    Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

    Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

    When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

    Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

    Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

    You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

    How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

    Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

    Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

    Will the cream ground look washed out on a white wall?

    It can. The print's background is a warm beige rather than true white, so it reads quite clearly against pale off-white plaster or soft cream walls. On a very bright cool-white wall it can flatten. If your wall is stark white, an oak or black frame gives the print enough definition to hold its place.

    Is the long tail off-centre — will it look unbalanced above a bed?

    The phoenix sits to the right and the tail trails left, so the composition has a clear directional pull. Centred above a bed or console it still reads balanced because the empty beige ground on the left does real work. Just leave a hand's width of breathing space either side.

    Does it work in a room with strong colour elsewhere?

    Yes, as long as the wall behind it stays calm. It's a quiet piece, so it won't fight a deep green sofa or a terracotta rug — it sits above the colour rather than competing with it. Avoid putting it on a feature wall that's already painted a strong shade.
