Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
   
   
2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
   
   
3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Not if you keep the rest of the room simple. The grid is busy but the colours are grounded — pair it with plain walls, one piece of warm timber furniture and a calm rug. In a small room, size down to medium and give it a wall of its own rather than crowding it with other art.

The eye moves around the grid rather than landing in one place — that's the point of the piece. Kandinsky designed each of the twelve squares as a small experiment, and together they read as a rhythm. Hang it centred above a long piece of furniture so the whole grid has space to work.

A slim black frame is the cleanest choice — it lets the colour grid do the talking without competing. Oak works well in warmer, more relaxed rooms with timber furniture. Avoid gold or ornate frames; they pull the piece toward something more decorative than it actually is.
