How do I frame an art print?

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Does the title text and date stay on the print, or is it just the artwork?
The full poster layout is printed as shown, including the 'Japanese Art Collection / Ohara Koson' header at the top and the work title with dates at the base. If you'd prefer just the central woodblock image without the text, that isn't an option in this listing.
Is the palette as washed-out as it looks on screen, or does it have more punch in person?
It's genuinely soft. The sky fades from pale blue to a warm peach, the surf is mostly off-white and grey-blue, and only the dark rock at the base gives any real contrast. Expect a quiet, settled print rather than a high-impact one.
Will it look right above a low bed or only as a hallway piece?
Both work. The portrait shape sits comfortably above a low bed or bedside table, and the calm palette won't keep you awake. In a hallway, it gives a narrow wall something to anchor without crowding the space.
