Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
   
   
2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
   
   
3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

It reads moody rather than gloomy. Give it a wall with some breathing room, a warm lamp nearby and lived-in furniture in wood, velvet or leather, and it grounds the space rather than dimming it. In bright, all-white minimalist rooms it can feel out of step — it prefers warmer, lamp-lit settings.

It works best on its own. The face is the whole composition, so a second portrait or busy gallery wall around it will fight for attention. Hang it solo above a sideboard, console, writing desk or fireplace and let one good piece of furniture do the supporting work.

Go for the large size if you have the wall for it. The features and brushwork carry the piece, and a small print on a big wall will look lost. At larger sizes the gaze and the warm tones in the hair and skin come through clearly from a normal seated distance.
