    About This Art

Take the shelf of shells down first. A cloakroom that already holds driftwood, a rope mirror and three starfish has nothing left for one coral red scallop to say. Give it a bare white tiled wall above the basin instead, chrome taps below and a single striped towel. That is the whole scheme. The coral does the warming, the cream does the resting, and the room reads seaside without a single anchor motif. Keep the walls off-white or the palest grey. Paint them navy and the red fights, paint them peach and it disappears. Towels in plain white. One soap dish, stone not shell. Hung at eye level over the basin it holds a small room on its own and needs no companion. On canvas it goes up without glass, which suits a steamy room.

    Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

    Made responsibly
FSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the coral red clash with a pink or peach bathroom?

It will blur rather than clash. The red bands sit close to peach on the colour wheel, so against peach or terracotta tiles the shell loses its edge and the wall reads as one warm smudge. It wants a cool or neutral background, white tile, pale grey paint or off-white panelling, where the red is the only warm note and does all the work.

What size works above a basin?

Around 40cm square is the sweet spot for a standard basin or cloakroom wall. At that size the rib detail is clear from the doorway and the piece still leaves breathing room on either side. Go to 50 or 60cm above a double basin or a console. Below 30cm the shell becomes a small spot on the wall and the room stops noticing it.

Does it look too seaside for a kitchen?

Not if it hangs alone. The old plate style reads as a natural history study first and a beach motif second, so in a pale grey or white kitchen it comes across as collected rather than themed. Keep red utensils and orange accents off the worktop beneath it and let white ceramics and oak boards sit nearby. One shell, no other sea references, and the kitchen stays grown-up.
