    About This Art

Off-white tongue-and-groove panelling is the surface to test this against. Coastal rooms tend to go pale and stay pale, and the wall ends up looking like a boat shed with nothing to look at. Hang this above the bed and the slate blue sky pulls the whole wall back into evening. Two small lit windows do something odd next to painted timber. They make the boards read as warm, even when the paint is cool. Keep the bedding in plain white or grey linen. One lamp on the bedside, and let the moon do the rest. Sand in the grasses picks up any natural fibre nearby, a jute rug, a rattan chair, a woven basket. Nothing else on that wall. Stretched over a wooden frame, the canvas hangs without glass, so the moon keeps its glow instead of a reflection of your window.

    Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will this feel too dark in a small bedroom?

Less than you would expect. The sky sits in slate blue rather than black, and the pale moonlight and sand grasses lift the lower half. In a small room keep the wall behind it off-white and choose the 50 to 60cm size, so the dark area stays a window onto the scene rather than a block. It reads calmer than a bright print once the lamps are on.

What wall colour works best behind it?

Two routes work. Off-white or chalky grey lets the dark sky do the anchoring and keeps the room airy, which suits most coastal bedrooms. Slate or deep blue-grey paint makes the lighthouse and moon jump forward and turns a bathroom or snug into something closer to a night walk. Avoid mid-tone beige, which fights the sand in the grasses.

    Does it suit a bathroom?

Yes, and it is one of the better rooms for it. Bathrooms tend to be white, hard and bright, and this puts a dark, soft scene against all that tile. Hang it beside the bath or opposite the basin at standing eye level, away from direct spray. The blue-grey pairs well with white waffle towels and a wooden bath caddy.
