    About This Art

Most rooms stop at eye level. Sofa, shelves, lamp, all of it sits in the bottom two metres and the wall above just waits. Hang this wide above a bed and the room gains a way up. Warm brown at the trunk pulls the eye in at the headboard, then the branches carry it out towards the corners and the pale sky opens the ceiling a little. Sage green does the calming. Keep the bedding white linen and let a plaster wall stay bare either side. At 100cm across it reads as a canopy. Any narrower and it becomes a picture of a tree, which is a different thing. North light suits it. So does a bedroom that gets too hot in the afternoon, since the shade here is the kind you can feel. On canvas the branches run off the wrapped edges with nothing to stop them.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the greens look cold in a north-facing bedroom?

The greens here lean grey rather than blue, so they stay soft in cool light instead of turning icy. The warm brown of the bark does most of the work in a north room, and it reads warmer as the daylight fades. Pair it with an off-white wall rather than a pure white one and the whole thing settles. Under a warm bedside lamp the cream bark glows a little.

How wide should I go above a king-size bed?

A king bed is about 150cm wide, and the picture above it should cover roughly two thirds of that, so aim for 100 to 120cm across. At that width the canopy fills the view when you lie back and the branches reach towards the bedside lamps. Smaller than 90cm and it starts to look like a postcard on a large wall, which loses the point of a wide tree.

Does it work in a room already full of houseplants?

Yes, as long as the plants are not directly beneath it. Real leaves next to painted ones fight for attention and the wall loses. Keep the plants to the opposite side of the room or on the floor by a window, and let this hold the wall alone. The sage and grey green ties in with most foliage, so the room reads as one green scheme rather than two.
